This Spring Break was pretty great the first weekend I had a volleyball tournament which is pretty normal, but this time my aunt, cousin and my grandma came to watch me play! I was really nervous that I was going to mess up but I actually I played pretty good. My serves were very good and we were playing a new rotation and most of us did a great job picking it up. After that I didn't really do anything until Wednesday. Before that I just watched TV and packed for St. Louis.
While I was in St. Louis the first we did was have chicken strips becuase my grandma makes the best chicken strips ever. On, Thursday we went to The City Museum it was really fun I got to hang out with my sister and walk around with my grandma. My uncle lives in St. Louis so we all stayed at his house and he also came with us where ever we went. We also went to Dave and Busters to celebrate my birthday, it was really fun. I won a blanket. On, Friday we went to this place where you go into a giant bubble and tryto knock people over. It hurt when people knocked you over especially when you fell onto your knees. Then on Staurday we came home and on Sunday we relaxed. That was my Spring Break.

1. One of the main similarities between them is the way the show the conditions of the camp. "Night" goes into that a little farther than "The Boy in the Stripped Pjs". They are both faced with tough decisons that affects the welling being of other people. In "Night" Elie was debating whether or not to help his dad when he was getting beat by the S.S. officer he ended up not helping which his dad ended up dying becuase he was hit in the face. In "The Boy in the Stripped Pjs" Bruno was deciding whether or not to tell the officer that he gave Schmuel the food. He ended up telling the oficer that Schmuel had stolen the food. They are also different becuase "Night" was all about the perspective of a jew inside the concentration camp. While "The Boy in the Stipped Pjs" was from the perspectiveof soemone who lived by the concentration camp.
2. I am going to analyze Bruno from "The Boy in the Stripped Pjs". He was a 8 year old boy who lived in the German countryside. He loved to explore which got him into trouble. He didn't understand what was happening in the world. He was not very excited about moving to the country but learns to loveit when he meets Schmuel. He was a pretty short person and had brown hair. When he figured out Schmuel was a jew, which was supposed to be the enemy, he didn't care he still wanted to be his friend. He always had a good look on life and wanted to try to hang out with Schmuel whenever he could. 3. My veiws have changed sinced we started the unit. I always knew the concentration cmaps were a bad place but I could have never imagined that it could be that bad. I also understood soem people thought it was the right thing to do but I didn't know that they really thought that jews didn't even qualify as hman being. Also, how some people, like Elsa, didn't like what was happening to the jews but they didn't really do anything. They just kind of went on with life, they couldn't really do anything to stop it without losing their own lives as a result. 4. I liked the book better becuase I don't like watching sad movies. With books it is harder to actually imagine what is really hapening with them. With movies you don't really have to imaginebecuaseyou can look and it is right there. Plus, "Night" isn't as sad in the end like "The Boy in the Stripped Pjs" was. 5. I just was wondering how they could have moved on from that? How the dad could keep working at the place where his son had been killed? |
